Atmosphere to Architecture
Designing Architecture from Atmosphere
KHAATT is an architectural design studio led by architects and interior designers.
We pursue design in which architecture and interiors form a seamless whole.
We value atmosphere.
Human gestures, the interplay of light and shadow, the expression of materials — to envision the atmosphere that resides within a space, we start with a small scene, drawing inspiration from conversations with our clients and the context of the site. From that initial atmosphere, we extend outward, connecting objects, furniture, interior finishes, the quality of light, structural systems, and the local environment, shifting scales as we design.
When atmosphere connects seamlessly, architecture becomes attentive to its inhabitants, endures over time, and settles gently into its surroundings.
From subtle atmospheres to architecture rooted in its local environment.
This is the approach to architecture that KHAATT aspires to.
[Atmosphere] = subtle presence, ambiance, or aesthetic
